A lot of crews are still scheduled on a whiteboard or a group text. It works until something changes: rain moves a pour, an inspector moves a date, a guy calls in sick. Then the office spends the evening calling people. Scheduling software is worth it when a change reaches everyone it affects, right away.

Schedule by asking

Tell Dex “Put Mike on Garcia Thursday” or “Put Carlos on Thompson tomorrow and message the three of them”. Dex changes the schedule and sends the address in Messages. Ask “Who’s free Friday?” and it reads the schedule back to you.

Everyone on the same page

Every project has its own chat, and the crew works from the same project page as the office: address, plans, notes and photos. Messages are translated between English and Spanish automatically, and voice notes come with a written transcript.

See if the plan held

The schedule is only half the story. The time clock shows who actually showed up, the site sign-in shows which subs and inspectors came, and the end-of-day photos show how far the work got.
