Bid requests
Send plans out. Get bids back. Side by side.
Pick the plans, choose subs from your list or type an email. They get a clean link to view the plans and send their price, with no account. Every bid lands next to the others.

Bidding by email is a mess
Plans as giant attachments, subs replying to the wrong thread, prices in PDFs, texts and voicemails, and no clear view of who is still bidding. Then you forget to tell the ones who didn’t win. A bid request tool keeps one request, one set of plans and one list of prices.
How bid requests work in Northdesk
- Pick the plans from the project’s files.
- Choose subs and suppliers from your list, or type an email.
- They get a clean link to view the plans and send their price. No account needed.
- Every bid lands side by side, with the lowest marked, and who is still bidding or declined.
- Award with one tap. The others hear back politely.
Private between you and each bidder
Subs see your request, the files you shared and their own price. Never the other bids.
Your subs and suppliers, organized
Every sub and supplier has their contacts, trades and notes, with W-9s and certificates of insurance on file and reminders before they expire. Subs are listed on each project, and they sign in on site with the project’s QR code.
If your subs use Northdesk too, link up: connect your project to theirs, see who’s on site, and chat about it together. Each company still sees only its own records.

The bid becomes the cost
An awarded bid is tied to the project, so when the sub’s bill is paid, Dex’s books review knows which project it belongs to. Material orders work the same way: order from a vendor inside the project, the vendor confirms on a link, and you receive it into inventory.
Questions people ask
Do subs need a Northdesk account to bid?
No. They view the plans and send their price from a link.
Can bidders see each other’s prices?
No. Each bidder sees only their own bid.
What happens to the subs who don’t win?
When you award a bid, the others hear back politely.
Can I track sub insurance certificates?
Yes. W-9s and COIs are kept on file with reminders before they expire.
